Welcome SIUC Automotive Alumni!!
As you may well know, since the Automotive Technology program graduated its first group of students in XXXX, there has been over one thousand Automotive Technology Alumni in virtually all ranks of the automotive industry. You probably found this link out of curiosity of how your alma mater is doing. Well, we are doing great. If you are in the neighborhood, please stop by and say hello. There are many new faces at the Automotive Campus, but as the old saying goes "the past molds the future," and since you were a big part of the past, you became part of who we are today and who we will be in the future. If you happen to be in the Michigan area, there is a "Greater Michigan Alumni Group" that is largely made up of Automotive Technology graduates. Contact Dale Hall at dale.w.hallatgm.com to find out more about the Alumni group.

If you are wondering how you can help the Automotive Technology program, simply visiting and talking to our students is a great gift. The students and the faculty enjoy hearing the experiences and stories of our Alumni. It serves as an eye-opener for the students and gives the faculty new perspectives on employment and skill-sets found in the automotive industry.

Another way to give back is to get involved with the SIUC Extern Program . Many alumni have participated in the Extern Program, which provides students with the opportunity to observe and experience an automotive technology occupation. The Program matches students with alumni and friends of SIUC during spring break in March. An externship enhances students' college education with a "real world" professional experience while networking with professionals. The sponsors, in turn, are given the opportunity to view the quality of SIUC students and benefit from their knowledge.

Lastly, the Automotive Technology program relies on donations in the form of vehicles, tools and equipment, components, and cash. Funds provide support for the programs and student scholarships. If you are interested in sponsoring a scholarship, please contact the Department Chair.

Don't forget to fill out the "Alumni Search Form," which will electronically submit your information to the Division of Automotive Technology for our records.
